Funnels

Funnels

Funnels are a way to categorize landing pages, lists and email campaigns. Funnels are not visible to landing page visitors, they are only visible in the system. You can use them to structure your account.

For example to distinct between different campaigns, products or services.

Manage funnels

In the right top there is a dropdown where you can switch between funnels, create a new funnel and manage existing funnels.

Landing Pages

Introduction to landing pages

Main page

On the main page you see all landing pages of the funnel you have selected.

Published vs not published

By default the status of a landing page is Not published. This means that the landing page is not publicly visible. When you click the Visit online link, you will see a page with a message like Page not published. No visitor analytics are measured when a page is not published.

In order to publish a page, first open the page in the editor by clicking on the thumbnail. Then click the FAB (Floating Action Button) on the right bottom and select Save & publish.

Now the page will be visible online.

Visits

When a page is published, the system will track basic visitor analytics. It’s important to know that when you are logged in the system, no visits will be tracked. You have to logout or open the landing page in a different browser. Not another browser window, but a different browser vendor. For example, when you use the system in Google Chrome, you can visit the landing page in Microsoft Edge in order to track a visit.

When a visitor refreshed the page, or visits the same page within 5 minutes, no extra visit is counted. Only when a visitor visits the same page after 5 minutes, a visit is counted.

Conversion ratio

The conversion ratio is the amount of visitors divided by the amount of times a visitor submitted a form that is linked to a landing page.

Lists and Forms

Introduction to lists

Lists

A list is a collection of entries of a form. When you create a form, you can link this form to a landing page and collect the leads in a list.

Main page

On the main page you see all forms of the funnel you have selected.

Published vs not published

By default the status of a form is Not published. This means that the form is not publicly visible. When you click the Visit online link, you will see a page with a message like Page not published. No visitor analytics are measured when a form is not published.

In order to publish a form, first open the form in the editor by clicking on the thumbnail. Then click the FAB (Floating Action Button) on the right bottom and select Save & publish.

Now the form will be visible online.

Email Campaigns

Introduction to email campaigns

Main page

On the main page you see all campaigns of the funnel you have selected.

Campaigns

A campaign is used to categorize emails of a certain type. Emails of a certain campaign type have different functionality. The differences between transactional emails and marketing emails are described below.

Transactional emails

If you select a Transactional email campaign, you can add emails to that campaign that are sent after a form is submitted. These auto-responders can be used as an opt-in request for marketing emails (e.g. newsletters) or a thank you email. For example to reassure visitors their mail has been processed, or to provide them with a link to a downloadable file or website.

When you link a transactional email to a form, it’s sent after a visitor succesfully submits one of the selected forms.

Marketing emails

If you select a Marketing email campaign, you can add emails to that campaign that are sent to a list. Since the Email address field is the minimum requirement for every form, you can send all subscribers a mail.

However, before you can send subscribers a marketing email, they have to confirm to opt-in. This can be done with a transactional opt-in email.

Once you have confirmed subscribers in a list, you can send these subscribers a newsletter. Open the email in the editor by clicking on the thumbnail. Then click the FAB (Floating Action Button) on the right bottom and select Send mailing.

Nearby Notifications

What is a Nearby Notification?

A Nearby Notification shows when a user pulls their screen down to open their Android phone, or open their notification shade. It looks like a regular notification, but it’s only visible as long as the phone is within reach of the Eddystone beacon that broadcasts the message.

Just like a radio, the Bluetooth beacon can broadcast one notification at a time. But it is possible to send out different notifications on different times. And different notifications for different languages.

What do I need to send Nearby Notifications?

You need a beacon that supports the Eddystone UID protocol such as the PROXPECTOR KT-1229 beacon. You can manage these beacons with the use of the PROXPECTOR Platform.

Don’t users get annoyed with all these notifications?

A phone will not ring or vibrate, as it is not a text message or call. It is seen when the user pulls their screen down to open their phone. An average user does this 40+ times a day.

Will this send notifications to any and all phones?

Nearby Notifications will only show up on Android phones, from version 4.4 and up. This is a huge market share.

How about spam and legislation?

This is not considered spam, because Nearby Notifications are a feature in the Android Operating System. The first time a user encounters a beacon they are asked if they wish to see the message the device is trying to send them. Most people allow this, and now they have opted in for future messages from all devices. A user can turn this off at any time, so it’s up to you to give them a good reason to stay connected.
