What is Proximity Marketing?
When we say “Proximity Marketing”, what we are referring to is marketing via “Nearby Notifications”.
With mobile devices becoming a staple of modern society and the preferred way of accessing digital content, today’s successful marketing campaigns need to connect strategically with mobile consumers. Proximity marketing helps businesses do just that.
By harnessing the targeting power of Bluetooth and Wi-fi technology, marketers are able to bring a variety of marketing messages to consumers who are both nearby and looking to make a purchase. These messages are sent out electronically via unobtrusive push notifications.
What are Beacons?
Eddystone beacons can broadcast Nearby Notifications to Android phones in range of the beacon. This technology is currently limited to phones with Android 4.4 and newer. Google is evolving integration with Android with every update, and the good part is that users don’t need an app to receive notifications. Notifications will show up in the notification shade as long as a phone is in range of the Eddystone beacon. In order to recieve beacon notifications, Android phones in range must have Bluetooth and GPS enabled on their phones.
What are Nearby Notifications?
Nearby Notifications is a feature of the Google Nearby Platform. The first time a user encounters a beacon they are asked if they wish to see the message the device is trying to send them. The best part is that users don’t need an app to receive notifications!
Are Landing Pages the same as websites?
Landing pages are exactly what they sound like. It’s a “page” someone “lands” on after clicking on one of your ads (like a push notification they received on their phone). They are usually only one page in it’s entirety and focus on a singular goal. Such as selling one particular item on sale, or capturing lead information such as their name and email address in an effort to build your mailing list. There are many uses for landing pages, but the idea is to focus on a specific objective per landing page: Presenting a particular product or service, advertising a sale or special promotion, gathering opt-in emails for your newsletter, etc.
A complete website is much more comprehensive, covering everything about your business. Therefore making it difficult at times for a customer to make a quick buying decision.
For example: Let’s say your business sold sweaters. And you really wanted to sell a particular sweater that you may have an overstock of. If your advertising sent customers to your full company website, then they would be exposed to looking at your entire catelogue of sweaters. Chances are slimmer that they would choose that particular sweater. Even worse yet, by giving customers too many options, they may not be able to decide on any one sweater at all – just leaving your site.
But now let’s say you created a landing page for that particular sweater. Highlighting it’s features and promoting a discounted sale for it. Customers can focus purely on that item, making the decision-buying process much simpler and effective. Resulting in far more sales of that particular item, and in general.
In today’s marketing landscape, you can do without a full website. But you shouldn’t do without landing pages.
What are Custom Domains?
Every page on the internet has to have a domain address for it. So whenever you create and publish your landing pages on the PROXPECTOR Platform, a domain address is automatically generated for it. So no need in buying a new domain name elsewhere, it’s already provided. If you already have domains that you would like to you use with your landing pages, you can simply use them by going to your domain host (GoDaddy, etc.) and point your domain towards the custom domain address created for your page.
What are Forms for?
Every business is different. With our forms builder, you can fully customize your contact forms to gather whatever information you need from customers.
What can I do with Email Campaigns?
With Email Campaigns, you can set up automatic email responders for when someone joins your newsletter. You can setup your system to send “thank you” emails automatically after a customer makes a purchase. You can send out a blast advertisement email to your entire email list to generate more sales. Email Campaigns are an important part to any marketing campaign.
Do I need to have any programming or coding skills?
Not at all. Everything you come across in the page builder is simple point-and-click editing. And adding specific sections and features to the page is a breeze also. Our best advice is to simply spend time with the builder. Create a page, then save it. Then build another! Don’t forget to “publish” the page when your done building it to make it go live and for every potential customer to see.
Can I use the PROXPECTOR Beacon without the PROXPECTOR Platform?
Yes, you could. But keep in mind that this total system was built with ease-of-use in mind. Our platform allows for the creation of unlimited sales funnels. If you want to run a successful marketing campaign, there are many components: landing pages, opt-in emails, lists, forms, email marketing campaigns, and beacon control panel to direct your beacons to point to your pages. PROXPECTOR is a complete all-in-one system. At a price competitive to other landing page services, but with the addition of all the other components.
But yes, you could simply purchase our beacons without using our online Platform. We will program the beacon for you to point to any website address you would like. Then ship it to you.
Can I sign up just for the PROXPECTOR Platform to build my landing pages?
You absolutely can. But PROXPECTOR beacons can drive traffic to your landing pages 24/7 at such an affordable one time cost. It is one of the only few things in your marketing strategy that you can be sure of that will pay for itself. With a 3 year battery life, the beacon comes out to less than a dollar a month!
Can I use the beacons I already have with the PROXPECTOR Platform?
If you have beacons from another company that sent them to you already activated, then more than likely they have activated them under their account and they are the official owners of the beacon. In that case, you will not be able to use or control them on our platform. Which means you won’t be able to personally configure your beacons to point at a particular landing page like you normally would do on our platform. But as a workaround, you could have your existing beacon point to your new landing page domain address directly. Or have your old domain address now forwarded to your landing page.
How come it only sends push notifications to Android phones and not iPhones?
Nearby Notifications is a feature of the Google Nearby Platform. Android is under the Google umbrella. Beacons can no longer send push notifications to iPhone via the Nearby Notifications feature. Google decided to stop allowing the notifications to be seen through iPhones.
Is an app required in order to receive push notifications?
Currently these notifications only work through the Android platform via the Nearby feature without an app needed.
What does the beacon notification look like when they appear on phones?
These notifications appear like any other push notification you may have seen on your own phone. It does not show up like a text message notification would. It is more subtle and unobtrusive. People who receive these push notifications have the option of deleting the message or clicking on it.

“Add Notifications” section review
You will be asked “When”, this refers to broadcasting time. You can set your beacon to broadcast 24 hours a day, or just during normal business hours.
40 character message: This should be catchy, and to the point. For example: “Clearance sale today only!” or “Affordable Insurance – click here”. This is what people will see on the notification shade of their phones. If they’re interested, they will click on it and be sent directly to your landing page.
Linking to your landing page: Here in this drop down menu, you will see a list of all the landing pages you have created in your library. Select the desired landing page to link your beacon to it.
Then Save Changes.
NOTE: There’s also an option to link to any website by selecting “custom link” and manually entering the complete web address/URL. Beacon will only send push notifications to secured web pages, so the URL must start with “https”, not “http”.
You can order multiple beacons for multiple landing pages if you wanted to run seperate ads. Or you can order multiple beacons for even more traffic linking to just one page.

We are committed to following permission based email marketing practices, and have established our anti-spam policy to demonstrate our intolerance to unsolicited spam, and to educate our affiliates and sponsoring partners as to the acceptable use of our marketing materials and promotional tools.
WHAT IS SPAM?
Spam is commercial email or unsolicited bulk email, including “junk mail”, which has not been requested by the recipient. It is intrusive and often irrelevant or offensive, and it wastes valuable resources. Spam messages are the opposite of permission-based email, which are normally anticipated, personal, relevant and/or associated with a pre-existing business or personal relationship. Inappropriate newsgroup activities, consisting of excessive posting of the same materials to several newsgroups, are also deemed to be spam.
Specifically, each customer agrees not to use the Proxpector.com products to send unsolicited email or bulk email, whether or not for commercial purposes.
Proxpector.com reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion what constitutes actionable spam, as well as what measures are necessary in response to such spam activities.
Proxpector.com has developed its Internet marketing tools to incorporate a strict permission-based philosophy. This anti-spam philosophy is implemented through the following:
(b) Unsubscription – Each email created using Proxpector.com products contains an “unsubscribe link”. If our web site visitors use the link to request that they be unsubscribed, our subscriber lists will automatically be adjusted to eliminate the prospect of sending unwanted email to such persons.
(c) Purchased Mailing Lists – Mass mailings to purchased email lists are not allowed. Proxpector.com only allows opt-in mailing lists. Purchased or inherited lists are by definition not opt-in.
LAWS RESTRICTING SPAM
Spam laws vary from state to state, and from country to country. This Proxpector.com Anti-Spam Policy has been developed to conform to the highest commercially reasonable standards. As a result, and without limiting the general prohibitions against all spam activities, the following are expressly prohibited:
(a) Use of false headers, or other false information, to identify the point of origin or the transmission path of the email, or to hide the true origin of the email sender,
(b) Unauthorized use of a third party’s Internet domain name without the permission of such third party, to make it appear that the third party was the point of origin of the email,
(c) Use of any false or misleading information in the subject line of the email, and
(d) Assisting any person in using the products or services of Proxpector.com for any of these previously mentioned activities.
If you believe that you have received spam from or through Proxpector.com facilities, or have been spammed with a link to one of our marketing materials, please send a complaint from your email account along with the unsolicited email, with completed header, to compliance@Proxpector.com. Please provide any other information that you believe may help us in our investigation.
